I have been married for 15 years and have had two kids- both vaginally. The labors caused me to have pretty bad hemmroids (sp?) I have always had a bit of problems with that area. Sometimes after a bowel movement, the acutual butt hole itches and can hurt a little. I talked to my gyne about it and she said that intense labors can cause that and if they get bad I could have surgery. Actually she said it is a prolapsed rectum. When I sit on the toilet I have to change my tampon (sorry for being so graphic here) I can feel a bit of a lump. It is the rectum that has fallen a bit and pushes onto the vagina (due to the pregnancies and labor). That does not hurt at all. My husband is obsessed with that area! He is always wanting to touch and would LOVE to have anal sex. I tell him no since that area bothers me. It is only the outside that is the problem, but the prolapsed rectum does not bother me.

So.... is it dangerous to have anal sex, when you know there are no issues of STD's?
And... why are heterosexual males so obsessed with the buttholes?
I had this conversation with my girl friends and they say all of their husbands want that too. It seems about half of the woman partake in it.

If I "allow" my husband to do this and it does not hurt me, can I cause worse damage? Is he going to expect this all the time then?"

I just don't feel comfortable asking my gyne this. I feel like a freak wanting to know about anal sex.
