Hello,

I finally got clear of my systemic candida. It took me a long time and *extreme* diligence, but the hard work did pay off. All my symptoms disappeared and I felt better than I had in years and I lost a lot of weight without trying.

I did my cleanse under the guidance of a naturopath. Here is a link to the protocol I used. http://www.herbalhealer.com/candida.html Especially note the diet adjustments at the bottom of the page. I remember my doctor telling me that anything that ferments is food for candida so your apples and berries are *happy meals* for yeast.
Also, anything with yeast or fungus in it, like mushrooms, beer, breads with wheat, cereals are not good choices.

It was difficult for me to let wheat go but I got used to using rice bread, spelt bread, you will find options in your health food freezer section. We did not use wheat based anything. Once you begin to work at it, there are lots of foods you can have and enjoy. Pumpkin is fine.

I used Mycostat and Olive leaf as my primary ways of killing off the existing yeast.
I can also recommend Grapefruit Seed Extract. Here is a link to more info on it~

Do not give up since one day you will find success. I might add too that there WILL be times when you are tempted to cheat. It will happen and you will eat a food which does not say YES to your goal but do not beat yourself up for it. Sometimes it is what it takes to keep on track. A tiny slip is not a big thing in the bigger picture so do not obsess on those, rather obsess on staying your course until you emerge a winner~~!

Best wishes~~

be happy, be well,
Zoe
