I disagree with all of you, respectfully. Maybe its not a scab, but whatever it is its trying to protect our lips. Things like light, and cold wind can makke our lips chapped. When these scabs or whatever they are are on the wind nor light is able to make complete contact with out lips. They can only make contact with the scabs. Underneath my scabs is raw skin. The the bottom of my lower lip and top of my upper lip have healed tremendously over time of trying to avoid peeling, picking or wiping the scabs off. And the parts that are now not raw don't scab up. They used to, but not anymore.
