Hi #58811

What is his diet like? Is he eating enough legumes (green beans) and green leafy vegetables? These can be helpful.

Most people with Parkinson's like symptoms that have a blood test, will show their body is low on one or all of these three supplements, copper, Vitamin B-6 and Folic Acid.

The copper you must get from food by eating green beans, green leafy vegetables and especially kelp and seaweed.

The vitamin B-6 and Folic Acid can be replaced with vitamin supplements.
People taking Parkinson's medication can not take these vitamins that their body is missing, because the medicine will fight the vitamins and cause nausea, the medicine mask the problems but not cure the causes.

Because there is neural nerve damage steming from nerve cells in the substantia nigra, I would consider supplements that help repair cerebral peripheral nerve damage. The supplements I would use is Gaba, L-Tyrosine and flaxseed oil.

The exact cause of parkinson's like symptoms in a person is usually difficult if not impossible to pinpoint, but here are just a few causes.

Things that can cause Parkinson's like symptoms are:

Exposure to pesticides or defolients such as weed and grass killers, manganese, carbon monoxide, carbon disulfide and some other oxidative stress.

Fahr's Syndrome is a rare, genetically dominant, inherited neurological disorder characterized by abnormal deposits of calcium in areas of the brain that control movement, including the basal ganglia and the cerebral cortex.

Drug induced parkinson's. Seroquel is one drug that causes drug induced parkinson's, and there are Class action lawsuits against this drug. There are too many drugs in this category known to cause drug induced parkinson's to list here, but I will name a few. Haldol, Prolixin, Stellazine, Thorazine, Compazine, Reglan and any other drug that blocks dopamine receptors in the brain.
If I had a child diagnosed with ADD, I would try pine needle tea before I would use drugs, because some ADD drugs block dopamine receptors.

Folic acid
http://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/folicacid/basics.htm

Severe cases of folic acid deficiency can cause a red and sore tongue, a reduced sense of taste, weight loss, and diarrhea. If a pregnant woman has folic acid deficiency, the baby may have a birth defect of the spinal cord such as neural tube defect.
