Thanks so much for finding that information! I am now more inclined to go ahead. I'll chat with the vet and see what type of chips they have.

My puppy is now 8.5 months and in adolescence - he's great at home with recall, but when we go to the park, he will run off at the sight of any other dog now and not even look back!! I'm worn out chasing him! I'm worried he may get lost (as well as the kidnappings).

It's a very sad thing - feeling the threat of someone stealing him .. but even worse, when I know there are people on the prowl stealing any type of dog to use for bait for dogs used for fighting.
