I have resolved my high BP. March 2005 it was 180\110 now it is 115-125\85-95. I still have a little work to do, BUT this is without medication.
Here is what I did:
Give up all bad oils and fats; use unrefined organic cold pressed olive, coconut, hemp, flax and real raw butter if dairy
Give up refined salt; use unrefined Redmunds real salt, Celtic or Himalayan
Give up Sugar AND artificial sweeteners (these will CAUSE high BP); use organic Black Strap or Sorghum molasses, Rapadura sugar, Agave Nectar, Maple Syrup, local organic raw honey, or stevia
Give up all refined grains and limit whole grains; use brown or wild rice, quinoa, spelt, hemp
NO TAP WATER... a good RO or restructured distilled. No Coffee, caffeine, or soda should go without saying.
Most of the above a re "trade offs" so one will not miss much and it is easy to phase in.
The hard part was slowly working my way to a 70 - 80% raw food diet, eliminating beef and chicken (organic, free range only) to once or twice a month each now. My most difficult struggle is with dairy as I was raised in a family that made their living in dairy up until my fathers generation and it is familial habit since birth. I am beginning to think my struggle with it is psychological as it provides some sense of security and warmth. I do only use raw, pasture fed organic dairy though.
Exercise a minimum of 1 hour a day 5x a week. Start with walks, bicycle, elliptical whatever is comfortable. Make it a habit and then increase intensity as able.
Bowel, kidney, and lymph cleanses to open elimination channels and liver flushes.
I have done all this over the course of 20 months or so. It is important to go slow and make the changes habits for a lifetime.
