Have you heard of EFT? Emotional freedom techniques? It's a type of accupressure and works very well on animals. You can be a surrogate and "tap" the acuppresure points on yourself on behalf of your pup and cat. You can get a free download of the manual http://www.emofree.com and that will give you enough info to start using it.

There is also an EFT forum on Curezone which might help.

Sounds like a very stressful situation and I sympathise.

I have recently returned from a Qigong workshop with a Master healer. He taught us some interesting techniques for sending of remote healing. If that interests you, I would be happy to try. If so, please let me have the names of your pets to send some blessings to.
