The picture on his web page shows a bag of Sea Salt as part of the package. I wouldn't add anything to the distilled water. Also he says this.

"Adding saline drops to pure distilled water in order to increase the electrical conductivity of the water and increase the speed at which Colloidal Silver can be made is not generally considered to be harmful."
