This is probably a detox reaction where your body is releasing excess mucus. The Master Cleanse is great for cleaning out the body's "tubes". I suspect your tear ducts might have been somewhat clogged and are discharging irritating mucus. I suggest you get a very clean washcloth and make hot compresses and hold over your eyes, do not make the compresses so hot they burn the skin though. A simple saline eyewash will also help cleanse and sooth the eye. Avoid the eyedrops with chemicals that whiten the eye. Allergy eyedrops may help decongest the eye, but I like to keep things as simple and natural as possible. I'll leave that decision to you.
