Hi Wood elf:
I too have been leaning towards taking Lamisil. I went ahead and ordered it online. I'm a little scared to try it, but I just can't seem to kick this candida. I am already spending at least $300 a month on colonics, probiotics, antifungals, things to build up my immune system, etc. that I decided to go ahead and try the Lamisil. I do have a caffeine habit that I am going to quit as soon as I start the Lamisil. I read that caffeine use while on Lamisil increases the risk of liver complications. What do you plan to do to protect your liver while on the Lamisil? I'd love to get any advice. Also, I am now thinking that having candida indefinitely is putting all kinds of toxins into my body anyway so it might be better for me in the long run to get the candida back into balance. Is that a really stupid idea? Am I just kidding myself out of desperation? I really don't know, all I know is I want to be WELL.
Please respond when you have time. It's kind of nice to run across someone here who is thinking about trying a prescription drug. I feel I have no one to turn to. God knows my doc won't help me with it. I'm tempted to lie to him next time I go in and tell him another doc gave me Lamisil for a toenail infection and ask him to run a liver check about one month into my using it. Maybe he'll do that at least, I don't know. I don't have a toenail fungus but I know I have candida. It's kind of ironic that we have to be dishonest to get our health needs cared for.
Regards,
Queta
