Not to throw a hand granade into this forum, but I'm wondering why one might flush one's liver?

I see numerous posts about what flush each of us is on, ways to flush, pre- and post flush pain (or lack thereof), but I'm having difficulty finding direct posts that discuss why we're doing this....and what the benefits might be.

I'm doing it because I thought I read posts somewhere saying that it would positively affect my health in numerous ways. I'm now pleased to have completed my first flush, and actually look forward to doing the next one in two weeks.

Why do you flush your liver and have you noticed good health results from doing it? If so, what are those results?
