I want to undertake a juice fast, however, i don't have...a juicer! Yes, i know that's probably the most key ingredient in a juice fast but juicers cost hundreds of dollars and i pretty much don't have any money right now, but i do have....a blender. Now, blending fruits and vegetables gives no where near the consistency of a juice, it all turns into a sort of smoothie, but i was wondering if, more or less, the same benefits and advantages i'd get from a 30 day juice fast can be obtained from a 30 day....smoothie fast? Can someone please give me their opinion because i feel disheartened that such optimum health can only be obtained by those that have or can afford a juicer...i want to be healthy too =(
Oh, and please don't respond to this post with remarks like "well, it'll cost more in the long run to be unhealthy" or "u have enough money for new clothes" etc., because i don't, i haven't bought new clothes in a long time, and i'm using the computer at my library (e.g. i don't pay for internet access) and i make enough money exactly to pay my rent, and to buy food (preferably fruits and vegatables i can use). If the opinion is that a smoothie fast is in no way near as beneficial than i will wait until i have the opportunity to buy a juicer (the opportunity will come in hopefully a few months) but please tell me that, rather than i could afford it if i really wanted. Thanks!
