I have successfully used Vitamin C to treat my BV. I get uncoated Vitamin C tablets and use them occasionally vaginally. I say "successfully treat" because it does eliminate the symptoms of itching and odor for awhile. If the BV is so bad that I am irritated and itching then the Vitamin C burns, and I have had people tell me (as I am writing a blog about all of this //www.curezone.org/blogs/m.asp?f=247&i=20
that the Vitamin C treatment has caused them to have a blood-streaked discharge.

I suspect that is because it is very acidic and when inserted in the vagina, doesn't really move around much until it dissovles, so maybe irritates that one area until it dissolves. I don't know.

I have also used hydrogen peroxide douches and this works to immediately neutralize the odor. I can also tell the difference as to how much "bad" and "good" bacteria is present by how much bubbling effect there is with the Hydrogen peroxide... but again, if I am already very irritated and itching then the hydrogen peroxide burns.

Just recently I have used gynecort cream on the vulvar area because the itching and burning were very bad, and then used RePhresh Gel to try and return the vaginal Ph to what it should be, and this is just a temporary fix too.

Hope any of this information was helpful.
