Today I do not feel as I felt yesterday…
Tomorrow I will not feel as I felt today…
The best feelings are when I pray…
So… what are these feelings… anyway…

Can one trust feelings… are they true…
reflections of things... we say and do…
Some deep dark secrets hidden down below…
Events of the past... we wish weren’t so…

We cannot undo a word once said…
Implanted in the memory banks of our head…
They haunt us… and taunt us… and linger long…
They gain their power... when we’re least strong…

Perhaps it’s time that we confess…
To get these burdens off our chest…
Clear away the wreckage of the past…
To gain a peace of mind that lasts…

These words come from the heart
Tested… tried…and true…
Tis love I’ve found to cherish most…
and wish to give to you…
