My 6 year old chipoo had a hip operation when it was 9 months old for a genetic problem. Anyway...she still favors that leg and still sometimes keeps it up when
walking or running. The vet checked her and said that it seems ok, and maybe she's just doing this trot still, out of habit. She did mention that Arthritis could set in as she gets older. I read somewhere that many give there dogs glucocamine for this...as humans do. What dosage would and 11 lb. dog need daily? Is there anything else that can be given...we take calcium...what do dogs need for strong bones...etc?
