Heavy TV viewing is one of the worst things for small children. I would say if your child watches, that should be the first step to take and then start putting him in more interactive situations. The person that invented those Einstein videos should be put in jail!!! A terrific book to read is Marie Winn's, "The Plug-in Drug". Her observations and arguements are completely convincing and reaffirming about the dangers of TV.

As far as the rest, sounds normal but use your instinct. Do you feel like something is not right? Two year olds have almost no attention span so you should not worry about him not following your cues. Leave him to explore for himself in a safe environment instead of trying to direct his activities. Most children at this age are not ready to start drawing.
