Thanks for pointing that out for us. I was aware that food combining was important, but perhaps I didn't know how important. I just read the book "Raw Spirit" by Matt Monarch (short little thing, 100pages) and he had some helpful insights for raw foodists. He claims that it can take a long time for a person to get comfortable in a raw food diet. They tend to do just what you said, eat too much Sugar and nuts, poorly combining the two. But then he claims that after your body gets used to the diet (this may take 3 yrs!) you should be eating less and properly combining your food. Basically, he says don't feel too guilty about not doing it in the beginning because in a way your body is "transitioning". Also overeating to get a full feeling is another big problem for transitioning raw fooders.

Also, I'm not sure if you (or anyone) agrees, but I think that eating too many sugars may be caused by a mental addiction to sweets as opposed to a physical one. Personally, without candida, I'm sure that I don't *need* Sugar and I don't think I have a physical addiction.... Me and my mom were talking and she commented that many people associate certain tastes and smells with events in their lives (sweet food=happiness, birthday parties, childhood)- and that maybe this connection is hard to severe.
