First of all, I like your birdie (Never give up) ;)

I didn't really use a high-quality castor oil. I bought mine at my local grocery store. It still did the job though.

As far as holding your nose while drinking it, once I shake the castor/orange juice mix for the time the recipe says (5 minutes) it is so thoroughly mixed together that I can't taste the castor oil at all. I always use a straw when drinking anything while flushing. That always has helped me get the stuff down.
