Hi Suz,
Sorry for the delay in answering your questoin.
The sour cravings may partly be due to HCl levels being low. It may also be a sign of the liver needing to stimulate bile. Lemon is a great liver tonic. Mustard is acidic, apples are slightly acidic, etc... Look up acid producing foods on the net and try to incorporate GOOD acid producing foods (there are a lot of bad ones that can promote Candida Overgrowth) a balance between alkaline and acidic is always best.
Try drinking warm water with lemon in the mornings, this is great for bowel stimulation and a liver tonic.
The vitamin C is great, make sure it has bio-flavonoids in it. Anti-oxidents are important as well.
I love sour foods as well. I like vinegar, lemon, mustard...I drink lemon water all day long. Plain water is boring to me. These foods can be cleansing and are great for stimulating the immune system
Thank you for the question. I'm happy to hear that you are pleased with my forum so far. I look forward to hearing from you again.
Namaste,
Ask Kelley
