Personally, we use a high grade reverse-osmosis filter for our drinking/cooking water, but only because I just can't find a distiller that will distill enough to meet our needs (major amounts of sprout rinsing, indoor plants, 50 gallon aquarium, etc), without paying an arm & leg and having it take too much time to produce :(
I would prefer distilled, having been outdoors in the sunlight, maybe with a few grains of rice added...something like that.
I would like to add that ALL bottled 'grocery store' water is not necessarily safe OR pure. Many are taken directly from the tap, boiled a bit (or not even that), maybe filtered through an adequate filter (maybe not) and then rebottled.
Some would say that all spring water is adversely affected somehow by contact with our toxic planet.
With bottled water being too expensive and all other forms either being too inconvenient (or obviously toxic in some way or another), I did my research and made my choice only on my two available options (at least the only two I know/knew of at the time of the research)...and like I said, I would have preferred distilled.
Be careful choosing water...it's a jungle out there!
