I always lubricate my lips with lip balm or warm water before I floss. It's important to floss everyday! Also, I wouldn't use any soap on my lips, just warm water. Plus, I wouldn't soak my toothbrush in alcohol but rather hydrogen peroxide b/c it's less irritating.
