We hear that every 'scientific' study of the human body's reactions must have a group of people who are given, say, a Sugar pill, that has no effect whatsoever on the condition being studied, in order to measure the likely percentage of that population who may show improvement due entirely to the 'expectation of improvement'.

Does this proposition make you smile?

To me, it seems like an admission by 'scientists' that there is something more powerful than any medication at work.

(It also suggests, to me, that there could possibly be another 'expectation' at work; the 'expectation of NO improvement'.)

"Seat-of-the-pants" experimenter that I am, I wonder if we couldn't achieve some improvement in well-being just by steaming up a little dish of, say, kale, labeling it "health", and wolfing it down each day.

I mean, if all these scientists think this effect is real, wouldn't at least some of us get better?

I also wonder, if we were to program ourselves that, for one day at a time, we would be attracted to ONLY health-giving foods, substances, and practices, automatically; wouldn't we have a wonderful day?

Of course, right away quick, being 'alternative' thinkers, we remember all the things we 'can't' control, and sink the ship before it's out of the harbor...right?

But, what if we believed it could be done?

What if we assumed the possibility that the body really CAN be drawn to ONLY the good in our world, just for today? ...That anything less than wholesome would somehow be 'neutralized' by the energy of our trillions of cells...just for now?

And then, tomorrow...
