Well from reading there on these links you provided, it seems that it needs a stabilizer for the soil before compacting it to the specified brick sizes. The question is: the stabilizer is natural or not? And the soil needs to have a specific amount of clay for this to work as well. So it's not feasible for certain areas where clay is not available/not present.
