If you saw NO improvenment on strict candida diet for three months, you might consider looking for other problems. My first suspect would be leaky gut. I've had candida with, and without, leaky gut. Let me tell you, candida alone is tolerable for me, but leaky gut is an all expense paid trip to hell. A bad case of leaky gut can take quite an amount of time to heal. Do a web search on leaky gut, but you'll find that adding large doses of L-Glutamine usually is the core of most treatments.
