Insommnia? Ativan?  Isn't it for so-called anxiety?

I was (mis)prescribed ativan once, in what was a case of spiritual emergence-y--which I only realized laterr, through my own reading. I knew I wasn't having what were called panic attacks though , but something else. But I had no frame of reference for it all... Anyway, all A did for me was render me weirdly immobilized, as if I were in danger, or actually deep in emergence, but utterly captive. Like a pinned butterly (seeThe Collector: film and book). I took it I think three times and realized it was the death of spirit. Then I just decided to walk through the fire. Immediately Everything was better without ativan. (but I acknowledge that is real Grace and blessing) but hmm. It is especially bad for kidneys...

I am mindblown you've taken it for 15 years--and that someone ( or several someones) has you believing that's okay. Please DO be very careful...it is not to be stopped easily.
