I think that something like this could be written for any food including fresh vegetables and fruits. I do not think that this tells the whole story.

I worked directly with lime for many years having full skin contact, breathing the dust having it get in my eyes some, etc. etc. and was in the best shape of my life... I did have dry skin, but I drank a ton of water during this time as well and it was not uncomfortably dry.

Then there is the terrible issue with mineral deficiencies in almost ALL fruits and vegetables available commercially first cited in 1936,

http://www.google.com/search?q=Senate+Document+No.+264%2C+1936&sourceid=mozil...

and shown over and over in many studies such as this one:

NOTE: that I believe there are some errors in the assumptions (stated as fact) in the above report, but the bottom line is the known reduction of calcium in broccoli of 46+% over a period of about 34 years. This does NOT take into account the reduction of other vitamins and minerals. This is a no brainer... we are nutritionally deficient, hungry all the time AND over weight because our food, yes even raw organic food, is not providing us with the nutrition we require to regain, let alone sustain health. This and we probably require more nutrition today than ever before due to the toxic load we carry living in todays environmental toxic soup.

read the whole report and you will find that fruits and vegetables also contain lead, aluminum, etc. etc. If it exists, it probably has it in there.

There are dozens of other esources available that list all kinds of minerals (some we consider toxic at higher levels than those listed in the introductory post) in the plants we eat.

Plants, just like us absorb and ingest environmental toxins too, from the soil, water and air... and they will contain them.

I could go on but am being called away... Maybe I will try to work towards becoming a breatharian :-\
