lokismum, I too am new to UT, and found that embracing the relief, and therefore the cause of the relief allowed me to come to enjoy the flavor, and not have an aftertaste. If you think that urine is disgusting, it will taste that way - if you think it is amazing, your body will accept the taste, and allow you to enjoy your healing.  I have found that if I enjoy the 'therapy' I get to have a taste that is smooth, and not unpleasant. The two days that I reverted somewhat to my pre UT understanding, the pee was gross, until I embraced it, then the nice taste came back..

I do not begin to understand much about this unusual therapy - I just embrace it, and continue to research it.
