Thank you for your reply. What a really clever idea to use tights. I honestly would never have thought of that! I am not known for my brain power unfortunately. My other half has a very iffy knee that frequently gives him a lot of pain and I will see if I can get him to try your therapy. He knows I am interested in UT, but I will have to be subtle, as it is something people will find disgusting. It has taken me a while, and a good few books on the subject, to get over the thought that it is all a big joke, and that someone somewhere is having a really good laugh! As the days go on that feeling is wearing off, as I am feeling the benefits already.
