If it's taken before eating - it will give a sense of fullness - if after it will move the food faster through the digestive system. Psyllium is an insoluble fiber - it does not lump up in the stomach - it does it's main job in the colon where all of the water is removed so that it binds together to remove old fecal matter along with the bigger visible parasites.

HUMACLEANSE also contains cascara sagrada and senna. Cascara sagrada (buckthorn bark) stimulates the the muscles of the large intestine creating wavelike contractions that will help loosen and remove old fecal matter that might be built up on the colon wall.
