Yeah, he said he tried it and was able to notice an improvement in how he felt.
Magazine is named Breakthroughs in Health, given to me by my friendly IAOMT Holistic Dentist. This is a new publiciation, Issue 1, Volume 1 that included a CD that I have not investigated yet. The Goji Berry is prominently shown and takes up the entire front cover (note: is this magazine a cleverly prepared ad campaign for Goji?..... dunno, too earlly to tell but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt for now).
An article starts on page 11, entitled How to Lower Blood Acidity. Goji of course is featured in this article that as best I can tell was authored by one Dr. Victor Marcial-Vega ; he completed residency at Johns Hopkins. Some microscopic photographs are included on page 10 and 12, the latter is a series taken from one of his patients blood , photo 1) blood too acidic that portrays clumps of seemingly immobile/impotent red blood cells and white blood cells; 2) improvement hours after drinking Goji showing the RBCs and WBCs in an apparent increased state of activity, no longer clumped; 3) a week later showing another photo of apparently further improved/active RBCs and WBCs.
The author/doctor apparently is also the inventor of a particular method for combining a microscope and video camera to record/observe blood samples onto photographic slides. It's interesting to note that one of the stated results from clumped RBCs (due to the acidity) is that the RBCs are no longer very good at carrying out one of their main duties - transporting oxygen throughout the body. The same photo (#1) also shows specks and little dots of black things that the caption says are bacteria and cholesterol. One of the main duties of WBCs is attacking unfriendly bacteria, but in photo #1, the WBCs are shown in what appears to be a "just lounging around, hanging out, ignorring instead of fighting bad guy bacteria" sort of attitude.
Compared to your average color glossy mag/rag, there is very little commercial advertisement in this first issue. Inside the front cover is one of (unless I'm mistaken) MH's former acquaintences - Water Wise, promoting their water purification system. I see no actual product advertisements pushing pills / meds / lotions, no adds pushing diva attire, no adds promoting how to stay hard for a week. Here is something that is near to my heart -page 70, an article named Turn It Off, telling of research linking childhood obesity to exposure to 2 hours or more of TV per day.
