Some thoughts on slow moving conditions :).
I largely believe in the mechanical & chemical natures of things. When things are slow moving, I think there could be many different causes.
For some cases, maybe dehydration.
Maybe not enough of the right kind of bacteria or an overgrowth of some different varieties.
Maybe not enough bile production.
Maybe not enough oil consumption.
Then there's the classic "more fiber" route.
Some mention out-of-shape muscle activity/inactivity.
There's the "pockets of stuck debris" which might be blocking/clogging things group.
The acid/alkaline balance topic.
Some improper digestion relations.
Etc. Etc.
One time when I came off a Master Cleanse and began eating food again, it seemed like nothing moved. So I started taking some herbal remedies and that got things going a bit. But then I added some herbal tea to the herbal pills and I couldn't believe all the additional material that was lagging behind! For me, now I know when I come off an Master-Cleanse I need to replenish some probiotics and continue to work with the system towards greater health. (It also seemed my liver/galbladder weren't making as much bile after the MC, maybe due to the lack of oil/fat consumption during the MC.) And eating raw, I have to make sure I include enough of the food "types": if I eat lots of carrots, things go sloooooowwwwwwly. When I add some bananas or olives things pick up a little. Watermelon moves along pretty well. One of my friends makes homemade sauerkraut but I'm too lazy right now.
