Had this problem of constipation with my baby from about 3 months old to around 10 months! He was only receiving breast milk from birth to about 6 months old. I ate a lot of fruit and vegetables but he would only go every 2-3 days with every so often having bad episodes of being constipated! VERY BAD! When we started him on baby food he ate lots of fruit and vegetables and never gave him things like apple sauce or bananas....and NEVER processed foods whatsoever! We had to give him prunes everyday! After converting to solid foods we started adding a bit of flaxseed to his diet and also gave him probiotics in his milk. Now he goes everyday! It was hard to see him so constipated and crying in pain! Now he's cured and feeling good! We don't allow him to eat too many banana's, apple sauce or even cheese (just incase!)
