I really feel for you: this kind of reaction from the doctor makes me so angry, it's hard to put into words exactly how angry I feel.

I am in the UK too, though I have never tried Nystatin nor know where you could get it from, but I think the links you received in your replies should point you in the right direction - good luck!

I was at the docs on Tuesday, though it was a new doctor I saw, and I'm scared to get my hopes up, but she was very kind and sympathetic. I had gone in with everything written down and was all prepared to be composed and rational, but burst into tears and couldn't stop crying for ten solid minutes. It's just all gotten too much recently and I can't cope with it anymore; sixteen years it's been going on now and the doctor's have rubbished my claims of having a candida problem (despite the practice nurse claiming I was 'full of candida up there' during my first smear test - go figure...).

Anyway, I'm hoping to get referred to some sort of chronic fatigue/post viral fatifue specialist, as I feel this might be at the root of it, but as I say, I'll wait with baited breath for now.

But good luck. And don't let this doctor put you off in your fight back to health!!!
