I have never liked cakes, and you should hear the pleading and comments whenever we would go out to eat:

Oh just a little taste of this (giant) cake
or
C'mon - I can't eat all of it, you have to help me.
or
Oh, I'll only order dessert if you share it with me
or
You only live once - have some.

No matter how many years I said "No thank you, I don't like sweets." - they insisted. Some still do.

It is the same with what you're going through. It may never cease. It does not mean you have to change your mind. Just think of how well you feel, and the main reason you decided to make the change.

Be proud of your decision.
