Quick background, my older two daughters had eczema when I was nursing, but I was able to get it to completely clear once I took their allergens out of my diet (dairy and egg).

My now-3-month-old began to get eczema at 9 weeks of age. I'd already been avoiding dairy, egg, fish, seafood and all nuts since her birth. She's never been exposed to any of those things. So, I further eliminated potential allergens from my diet, finally eating just organic turkey, pears, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, rice, brown rice and zucchini. The baby continued to react (eczema and diarrhea) to the point of being taken off my milk by her allergist and put on a hydrolized formula called Neocate.

She's doing better on the formula (sad to say) and is now gaining weight again. But, her eczema has not cleared and, in fact, is getting worse. Well, some days it's better, others it's a lot worse.

We did allergy testing (blood test called a RAST) but it wasn't helpful as those tests are usually unreliable in so young an infant.

I've read enough here to understand that suppressing her symptoms (eczema) is not the solution (and I haven't and won't use steroids) but I do not know how else to begin to determine her allergens at this point.

Any thoughts on what my next move should be?

I'd appreciate any and all help.
