Sometimes I use an ACV+water solution to apply on my problematic areas. (I dont have problematic areas on my face though)
The itching stops, and the cracked areas do not burn anymore. I dont feel any pain.

You can dilute ACV according to your condition, I use it half and half.

Raw unrefined ACV (apple cider vinegar) balances skin's PH and supplies nutrients, minerals.
