i responded to SB because i trust her. i was responding the way i did in reaction to what i have seen so far.

perhaps you did miss my point. the good mods here ARE compensated - by the fruits of their labor. if curezone were to become a place where that kind of compensation can no longer be made manifest, then someone might have to be paid to do it.

also, there are other means of compensation, which the internet has the ability to magnify. when people are sick, they are vulnerable. this can put others in positions of power over them. the internet abounds with trolls that like nothing more than amusing themselves at other people's expense. it is said that knowledge is power. in this age of the the "authority figure", power would not be hard to achieve over another through or on this venue.

i have seen abusive people operate out in the open here. they are sometimes hard to spot and can be so skillful as to appear the opposite of what they really are, complete with converts and supporters. i have also seen others who are viewed by most as abusive and full of error and have found them to be right and just trying to spread the word. i have seen trolls turn out to be the hurting, and self-proclaimed victims with their own agenda of causing trouble.

so as long as the Webmaster can maintain the open and free exchange that goes on here, the result will be more of what curezone has become - a place to put the lies aside in favor of the truth. if people are able to subvert that and cause the kinds of problems that only hired guns can or are willing to fix, that will be the beginning of the end.
