I can say from personal experience that this stuff Meladerm does work for moderate cases of melasma like mine. I've had mild melasma above my lip and cheeks after having my second son (strange it didn't happen the first time around!). Even one year after I gave birth, the discolorations were still there. My doctor had originally told me to be patient and that the skin will return to normal over time as my hormones started to balance out. I waited over a year and I saw very little change. I ended up going to another doctor who prescribed my Tri-Luma which I used eagerly for about 4 months. I guess it did not agree with my skin and it looked like my melasma had become WORSE! After this I did some research on my own and found this product Meladerm. I have been using this now for just a little over 5 months and I am finally seeing some improvement. I use meladerm twice a day and also use La Roche Posay brand sunblock. Though the cheeks have not lightened considerably, the "mustache" has faded quite a bit. Some days I even find myself having to look even closer in the mirror to see if it's still there! Anyway, I thought I would pass along this information for anyone that is still battling melasma. I don't think I have won the war yet, but I have high hopes. Anyone else use meladerm with good results?
