i think there could be different ways of looking at this. One of the reasons UT is supposed to help is because it allows the brain to analyze the body's condition, and take action. so, if the brain sees certain acids in the urine, it way promote further detoxification, and thereby, have some benefit to drinking the really acidic urine...
