OK. So I just made the very first juice with my Champion and the brand-new press.
First of all, I found a piece of wood which is about 1" thick and I cut out about 5"x5 of it and placed it under the Norwalk tray. It fit right within the perimeter of the gutter. I also made 7"x7" but too big to be put on the tray. Because I didn't have enough time to make a perfect size, I just picked up a piece of wood that is 5"x3"x1."
I ground some carrots and an apple with my Champion using a blank plate. This plate must be bent or something. Lot of liquid leaked out from the neck of Champion. I may have to get a new plate. Another issue is not all the pulp come out before you stop feeding vegetables. This is not the case with blank plate but I thought it was such a waste. Not to waste it, I would have to break the Champion apart and take out the pulp and then into the bag. This could be another work.
The juice, most importantly, tasted goooood. Compared to Champion by itself, the juice is much smoother and no noticeable pulp particles are in it.
I'll check my Champion again and in the mean time, I'll find something better to put on top of the bag. I'm going to take pictures a little later.
