Disappointment.

They can't find anyone to talk to...at least no one who agrees with all of their slants/opinions; or anyone who 'understands' them; or anyone who 'speaks their language'; or who seems as 'sincere' as they feel.

Surely we like to appear in our 'Sunday best', and remain quiet on the more sensitive facts of our personna.

For example, I have yet to see someone mention their color. There must be some black people posting, but I haven't yet read any saying so.

And it is always quite a surprise to see favorite posters come down on one side or another of religious or political questions, often vehemently.

I have even wondered at times if one person or another might not be an employee of some special interest group, attempting to lure some posters into some verbal indiscretion.

Such suspicions make me want to 'cut and run', and disappoint me no end.

Occasionally, I notice that my 'style' of writing draws negative attention, or inattention. Believe it or not, I know what my style is, and why. I also know quite a bit more than I write, as do most who post here. Our life experiences are just too vast (and maybe inappropriate) for the limitations of public posting.

I'd be willing to bet that most serious posters on CureZone have it at the back of their minds that they 'could' erase some posts and disappear, if they ever were disappointed enough.

I agree with you, Paulette, some of my posts are my best work. I am proud of them, and I don't mind any of my posts standing for posterity. They are true, and not too controversial.

It is delightful to see my stuff organized so I may find any particular post in a moment. A would-be writer's dream! A gift!

Any computer whiz want to come to my house?
