Paulette,
I am only guessing, but I think it may have something to do with feelings of 'exposure' in the capability of all readers to trace the complete writings of any CureZone poster.
As you no doubt know, the development of a bulletin board 'looker' into a major contributor is a long journey of growth through all the hazzards of shyness and 'public-speaking'.
As I see it, we also develop as writers, and worry accordingly about our 'bodies of work', 'public image', and so on.
We also may have changed our minds to some degree, about some points that may seem very significant, and personal, from the comfort of our computer chairs.
"I can't believe I SAID that!" And, "What ever happened to so-and-so? I hope I said the right thing to help them."
You know...all the funny little feelings we get, that seem so big and important at the time.
And, then there are the sinking feelings that we get, at times, from all-out frontal attacks...or possible ones.
Also, posting is somewhat addictive...and takes a lot of time. Sometimes there are other priorities.
Spirit commented that, at the deeper levels of involvement in posting, people tire, and need to do other things...they don't usually last. (Which speaks well of his involvement!)
Anyway, you know all this. I only thought to comment for newcomers, and for the thousands who haven't yet taken the plunge into speaking up, online.
It is quite an experience, isn't it?
