There are no soil based organisms in their ingredients list. The two SBO's used in Nature's Biotics and Primal Defense are bacillus subtilis, and bacillus licheniformis. Both of these organisms are not listed on the label. In addition to this the organisms that are found on this label are commonly found in other Probiotic supplements which do not claim to contain SBO's. I found the same thing in NOW brands "Probiotic Defense" It claims to contain SBO's, but it in fact does not. After purchasing it for my Dad and reading the ingredient's list, I realized that it was a good probiotic supplement, but it did not contain SBO's. To me this is plain false advertising. I actually sent a letter in to the company to complain, and never received any defense or reply of any kind. It contains strains of lactobacilli, bifidus, and yeast, but no SBO's. SBO's are unique organisms that confer special benefits that the lactobacilli and bifidus do not have. First of all they are generally more aggressive. They produce lots of enzymes. (These organisms are actually used comercially in manufacturing enzymes and cleaning products. They are also used to clean up ponds etc.) They produce natural antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral substances. They stimulate the body's immune system. They clean out the intestines by digesting the mucoid plaque. Since there is no legal definition of SBO's companies can take advantage of the uniformed. So consumer beware.
