It's about spirituality, not religion. The Truth can be beautifully expressed in Christian terms, but also in Buddhist, Jain, or Jewish terms, or simply in plain English. Surrendering your ego reveals the Truth; clinging to an "us vs them" or "we have exclusive rights to God" belief system just reinforces the ego and takes you further from where you really want to go.
