I think it's a sort of Disney fallacy that children will eat ketchup over ice cream--
it sounds all very sweet and funny, but it's likely projection--unless this is what they've been fed: speaking Disney-capital-D.(And millions have been!)This is what needs looking at, for surely, appearances don't speak the truth/the potential--but more, the prevailing norm.
If a child were introduced to truly real food, and not ignored, and not sat in front
of TV screens with bizarre films of mascara'd wisecracking animals, and not treated
as a child only, meaning: the parents would ideally have realization that the child
has been older than they are at some point, and would be *real*, given that knowledge...
well, you get the *drift* (though I see it as a circling, spiralling, that returns as it will)
