I don't know about the dental materials, but be careful about chewing on one side for extended periods, unless you choose a much softer diet. I developed Arthritis in the jaw from favoring one side and it is no picnic! I know that my mouth is very small and I need every tooth for chewing, so I would never choose extraction. Others may not miss the back molar as much. Sorry that's all I have to offer.
