Very good post... thank you. I will print it out for future reference.

I have some questions for you. You said in your post that any fruit picked off a tree or plant needs to be eaten within 7 minutes or it starts to decay. And then you go on further to say to eat otherwise means the food is now dead and has zero life.

Don't you harvest your food every year and store it for eating during the winter? Are you storing it in such a way that preserves its life? Or do you just live with the fact that you're eating food that isn't alive? I mean, you obviously can't just leave it out on the tree/plant, because the winter will kill it. So how do you workaround the issue of the fruit's "life" and having to store it after the harvest?

I live in an apartment. I have no way of growing my own fruit at this point in my life. I buy my fruit from the local health food store - and yes, it's organic... not organic in the sense of being picked right off the tree, but organic in the sense that no chemicals were used in the production of the fruit (at least that's what they say). So since I'm not eating it right off the tree does this mean I'm eating dead food?

Yikes... I feel like I'm doomed no matter what.
