This is a good question. It is also one I pondered for a long "time" ( no pun intented). I never really understood when people would say; "This is all an illusion anyway". This statement really confused me.

But I believe I finally understood the statement in one of those "aha" moments we all get.

The Universe is very real. You are very real. Time is very real. But time is an individual illusion, not a Universal one.

The wood that makes up your furniture, is that real? Touch it, smell it, taste it. yes, it's very real. It is made up of the Universe, as we all are. We are all ONE. There is no seperate anything. The moment you believe you are seperate from this Universe, or anything in it, is the moment you begin living in the illusion. That is not real, that is an Illusion. An example:

Two people are shot in the leg with a gun. One of those people is in Iraq and the other was just walking down the street. For the person who was walking down the street the shot to the leg will be viewed as a negative event and the pain of the event will be both physical and mental. The other person (in Iraq) on the other hand is as happy as can be about the wound becuase now he/she will be able to go home and be with his/her family.

Both events are the same, it's the individual illusions that are very different.

I believe time is that way too. It is an individual illusion not affected by anyone or thing of this Universe. Time does exist, but it is your illusion of time that does not really exist.

Think of it this way. Lets say we as humans were unable to look up and see the clouds. Our scientest would come up with all kinds of reasons why we see shadows on the ground(clouds). But since we are unable to look up and see them for what they are, our minds would create illusions to make sense of them.

I feel that time is the same way. Since we are unable to see all the dimesions that exist (maybe some of you can), our minds make up illusions to make sense of the Universe we live in. But time does exist, it's only our own limitations that make us even ask the question in the first place. We sense that we are not seeing the whole picture or would not even have asked the question to begin with.

So just by asking the question; "does time exist" we are also answering it too. Time exist, but we know we are not seeing time for what it really is. And since we cannot make sense of it, we ask, does time even exist at all?

Time is real. It's YOU that is the illusion....
