That's a good question, I never really thought about it.
For me, it's a combination between my enjoyment of tea and it being healthy. I don't drink soft drinks or dairy products and not many juices these days. It's either water, or tea. It's soothing and I think it tastes good. The fact that different teas have different health benefits is a bonus. In a way, it can be a medicine - an herbal infusion.
I like:
Green teas and white teas (occasionally, oolong)
Rooibos tea with orange peel
Peppermint tea
Licorice tea
Yerba mate tea
Raspberry leaf tea
Rosebud tea
Chrysthansemum tea
A "cleansing tea" mixture of about 8 herbs.
And lately I've been drinking pine needle tea.
I enjoy the variety, and sometimes I mix a few together.
I don't sweeten my teas, by the way.
