You say that you use IV rather than distilled water. I'm not sure what you mean. To me, IV means intravenous. There are many types of IV solutions. IV's typically have lots of electrolytes in them, and I wouldn't think you would want to use that to make CS.

Do you mean distilled, sterile water that is suitable for use in the manufacture of IV solutions?
